Level of Assurance


ProSale can be used with different Levels of Assurance in order to identify a person.

Assurance is categorized in different levels:

Level 1: Little or no confidence in the asserted identity’s validity.

Level 2: Some confidence in the asserted identity’s validity.

Level 3: High confidence in the asserted identity’s validity.

Level 4: Very high confidence in the asserted identity’s validity.

Different situations can require different levels of assurance. In some cases levels 1 and 2 is sufficient, but in others level 3 is required. One reason for this can be legal requirements such as Consumer Protection Acts.

ProSale means of identification

In ProSale it is possible to use the following means of identification. We add new means of identification as they become available and there is a need.

  • One-time-code in Text Message (SMS): This is a Two-Factor authentication (2FA) in combination with an e-mail.
  • PKI Certificate: Provided by for example banks.
  • One-time-code in Email: Uses the e-mail address entered for the signatory.
  • New Eid2: The new Swedish national Electronic Id.
